Trustee, Treasurer

Colin Simon joined the Board of Oxford Research Group (ORG) in March 2015 and became its treasurer in March 2016. He has recently retired after a career in charity finance. Having qualified as a chartered accountant he worked for the next 20 years in theatre, firstly at the Roundhouse in Chalk Farm and then at the National Theatre. He joined the NT just before it moved into the new building on the South Bank and was there for the whole of Peter Hall's time as Director. During a period as a freelance during the 90's he broadened into other types of charities and in 1998 became the first Head of Finance at the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund. He left in 2002 to become Business Director at Comic Relief and oversaw its financial management as it grew to be one of the largest fundraising charities in the UK.
