ORG has published the third in a series of reports based on the outcomes of six planned regional consultations on sustainable security. The report, Beyond Dependence and Legacy: Sustainable Security in Sub-Saharan Africa, includes an integrated analysis of the regional drivers of insecurity and blockages to change in Africa, together with recommendations for policy-makers.

ORG has published The Need to Acquire Accurate Casualty Records in NATO Operations by John Sloboda. This paper is based on a presentation to the NATO Shadow Conference "Strategies, Options and Solutions for NATO Reform: Towards a New Strategic Concept in 2010" organised by BASIC, ISIS Europe, NATO Watch and Bertelsmann Stiftung on 31 March 2009 in Brussels.

In November 2008, we announced three new Patrons for ORG at an event at which one of them, Shirley Williams, spoke on "What opportunities are there for the incoming President to make a decisive difference in world affairs".
