Gabrielle Rifkind is the Director of the Middle East programme at Oxford Research Group (ORG). She is a group analyst and specialist in conflict resolution. Gabrielle combines in-depth political and psychological expertise with many years’ experience in promoting serious analysis and dialogue. Sara Hassan

Sara Hassan is Programme Manager to Oxford Research Group's (ORG) Middle East programme. Prior to joining ORG, she spent four years as a Middle East Analyst with IHS Global Insight’s country intelligence team, where she advised companies, organisations and governments on developments in the  Middle East. Sara also worked at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) on their armed conflict programme, as well as the Gulf Centre for Strategic Studies (GCSS). Read more »

Palestinian Citizens of Israel Project: First Workshop

The first workshop, engaging a small group of leading Palestinian Citizens of Israel, facilitated by ORG, took place from 9-12 April 2012 at a residential centre in the Oxfordshire countryside. The workshop, the first of a series of meetings, created a neutral and open space for participants to discuss the new realities and challenges facing the Palestinian community inside Israel today.  Read more »

The Palestinian Citizens of Israel

The current tense political climate has been exacerbated by Israeli society veering further to the right. This shift is being translated into government policies, which in many cases directly affect and target the status of Palestinians citizens of Israel. While it is important to address the consequences of these shifts before relations deteriorate further, there is an urgent need to draw attention to the pervasive lack of knowledge about the Palestinian community in Israel. Jewish-Israelis acknowledge that they know very little about the actual conditions of the Palestinians in Israel. Read more »

Professor Oliver Ramsbotham

Job title:  Chair of the Board

Oliver Ramsbotham has been Chair of the Board at Oxford Research Group (ORG) since April 2007. He is particularly involved in ORG’s Middle East programme. Oliver is a specialist on conflict resolution and designed an original approach to handling 'intractable' conflict, which he calls ‘radical disagreement’. This approach both informs - and is informed by - ORG's ongoing work with the Palestinian Strategic Group and the Israeli Strategic Forum.  Read more »
