Building more sustainable forms of responding to global security challenges will require engaging with perspectives from outside of the mainstream of Western-dominated security analysis.
Despite making up the majority of the world’s people, perspectives from the countries collectively known as the ‘Global South’ are severely underrepresented in mainstream security debates. ORG’s project on Sustainable Security and the Global South is working hard to showcase some of the latest analysis of key global security trends from ‘voices from the margins’ in regions such as South Asia, Latin America and East Africa.
ORG has recently commissioned a series of articles for sustainablesecurity.org on issues such as human security, marginalisation and environmental insecurity.
