Support us

Your support is vital to ORG's work to build lasting peace and security in the world. ORG is one of the UK's leading advocates for the non-military resolution of global insecurity. We identify the root causes of conflict and promote dialogue rather than confrontation as the means to a truly secure world. By supporting us, you can contribute towards improving the lives of many millions of people affected by violent conflict throughout the world and help ensure that more don't join them.

ORG seeks to develop and promote alternative thinking on current security dilemmas within the broadest and most influential constituencies possible. This process of analysis, dialogue and promoting real change takes a very long time - which costs money. This is why your support is so important to us.

ORG runs a small office on an incredibly tight budget. The amount of work achieved relative to the size of the organisation reflects the fact that as much of our budget as possible goes into our projects, publications, and meetings, rather than organisational and administration costs.

Much of our work is funded by charitable grants which are often tied to specific medium-term projects. We need your support to allow us the flexibility to take new initiatives in response to the changing international situation, in order to prevent violent conflict and to resolve existing conflict. It really does make a difference to the lives of people.

There are three ways in which you can support our work financially:

1) Make a one-off donation
Make a one-off donation by sending a cheque payable to “Oxford Research Group” and completing the Gift Aid Declaration on the standing order form. You can also donate online by debit or credit card through Pay Pal or the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) by clicking one of the buttons at the bottom of this page.

2) Become an ORG Supporter
Become an ORG Supporter by donating at least £5 a month using the standing order form, for which you will receive regular updates on our work, invitations to our public seminars and a 20% discount on all publications ordered through our online shop.

3) Become an ORG Sustainer
Become an ORG Sustainer, by pledging £1,000 or more per year for at least three years. Sustainers will receive invitations to exclusive, twice-yearly briefings by high-level government and independent experts, as well as free copies of all our publications. More information is available here.
